What We Believe

The following scriptures summarize that process while explaining our soul's condition in God's eyes. Please find a Bible or use a Bible app to follow along for yourself in the Bible.

Romans 3:10, "As the scriptures say, 'There is no one righteous - not even one."

According to tis scripture there is no person on earth that is right in the sight of God.  Whatever our own personal efforts may be we cannot achieve righteousness in the eyes of God.  Sin crept into the lives of all mankind and pretty much just took up residence in our hearts.  But hold on, it sounds pretty bad but remember, this is called the good news.

Romans 3:23, "For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God's glorious standard."

Once again the scriptures affirm the futility of us trying to be right in God’s eyes by our own power. Once sin entered into the life of man we were made slaves to sin.  We needed someone or something to change that part of our lives.  So here comes the good news.

Romans 5:8, "But God showed his great love for us by sending Christ to die for us while we were still sinners."

God knows that sin will keep us from him. God is holy and he cannot associate himself with any sin. That is how sin separates us from God. God’s plan is that we are all able to approach him and benefit from His grace and mercy.  So he offered his son as a sin sacrifice for us to pay our sin debt.  What’s a sin debt?

Romans 6:23, "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus our Lord."

God will eventually destroy all that is sin in the world. Just like he did when he flooded the earth in Noah’s time, he will again cleanse the earth and reset things finally with righteousness and holiness. This is where God’s grace comes in with full force.

Romans 10:9, "If you openly declare that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

That is the most awesome news. despite our sinful nature we can have eternal life and be made right in the sight of God. The formula is as simple as 1 – 2 – 3.  If you understand that you are a sinner and believe that Jesus Christ died and rose to pay the price for that sin, you can be made right and complete in God’s eyes.

In John 3:16 God declared his full love for us. "For this is how God loved the world: He gave his only son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life."

Can you believe in Jesus today? Can you make him the Lord of your life?  If so, all you need to do is pray this simple prayer and receive Jesus into your heart today.

Let Us Help You Pray

Lord God in heaven, I am a sinner.  I have lived in sin all my life. Today I want to change.
Please forgive me of all my sins.  I believe that Jesus died and rose again
to pay for my sins and through him I am forgiven.
I believe that you raised him from the dead and he sits with you now and will return for me to take me to be with you forever.
I declare Jesus as Lord of my life.
Thank you for your forgiveness and eternal life,
In Jesus’ name, Amen.

How Can I Get Salvation?

When we talk about salvation, we are talking about God's plan to reconcile man to him through faith and grace. We need to believe with our faith that God will make us right in his sight despite our short comings. Then we must believe that God's grace will make us worthy of his love and the right to eternal life.
